ICN
has the resources to provide adequate interconnectivity capacity to all
the operators in the Nigerian Telecom Industry on demand. The Interconnect
exchange is versatile enough to accommodate all types of interconnect
links [circuit switching and packet switching] and is capable of transiting
Voice, SMS and Data.
The Siemens EWSD Power Node Switch can transit SMS between similar or different
technologies. GSM to GSM; GSM to CDMA; CDMA to GSM; CDMA to CDMA.
Scope of Services:
- Provide Operators with physical facilities (E1’s) for physical
interconnection.
- Provides E1’s to Operators on-demand.
- Continuously
monitor the performance and usage of E1’s connected to an Operator
to ensure optimal allocation of E1’s and notify the operator

- Provide co-location facilities for participants of the clearinghouse
at all ICN interconnect Exchanges.
- Provide access to Least Cost Routing or Best Choice Routing.
Key Benefits:
- Adequate interconnect(E1) capacity whenever needed.
- Improved call completion rate leading to higher call quality and
increased revenue.
- Open access to all licensed Telecom Operators.
- Single point of interconnection simplifies network architecture and
operation.
- Optimize utilization of existing interconnect resources (consolidation
