Siemens has been one of the major contractors in the implementation of the Nitel nationwide network and in the process has acquired invaluable knowledge and experience of the telecommunications industry in Nigeria.Siemens has been retained on a turnkey contract for the design, supply and installation of switching, transmission and external line plant equipment. Siemens will also provide operational and maintenance support for the transit exchange during the first 2 years of operation of the transit exchange that will be renewed as required.

Intec is a provider of world-class Operations and Business Support Systems – including billing and mediation to more than 60% of the world’s largest carriers. Intec Supplied 7 of the largest telecom operators in Nigeria, including the clearinghouse and would shortly establish technical support office in Lagos to provide first line support. Intec has been retained on a turnkey contract for design, supply, installation and commissioning of inter-carrier mediation, rating, billing, and auto reconciliation software with agreed 1 year Post Implementation Support contract with ICN that will be renewed as required.
